Welcome to Praetorian Guards of Whisperwind website! All Hail the Guard! The Praetorian Guards are one of the largest guilds on Whisperwind server as well as one of the LARGEST ALLIANCE GUILDS IN THE WORLD! (according to WOW Census) Being the largest, we offer a mix of a large, casual gaming population, as well as providing an additionally large group of successful, hardcore raiders, and of course a good range of pvp'rs. The Guard is composed of over 1000 proud defenders divided into 3 Legions. Our 1st Legion is the main guild itself with almost 1000 members, most of which are lvl80-85. We have an additional 2nd and 3rd Legions or alt guilds filled with lower level toons, etc.
Our Cataclysm raid teams are 7-8/12 and the guild is currently ranked 13th Alliance side in raid progression. The guild has previously been ranked 19th in Wrath of the Lich King raid progression and 1st in gear ranking on server in early Wrath of the Lich King gearwise (when ToC was the end raid). Prior to that we were around the top 5-10 guilds in the Burning Crusade, and were primarily a pvp guild in Vanilla, although we did also raid back then.
The Praetorian Guards were the most elite warriors of the greatest empire to have existed in Earth's history, the Roman Empire. The Praetorians were responsible for protecting the Emperor himself and the jewel of the Empire, the city of Rome.

If you would like to join our growing Legion and become a Guard, APPLY BELOW, post in the forums or send an in-game tell or mail to Tycas (or any toon with 'tyc' in it in the guild).
Currently the Guard are looking for more brave souls to join our Legions and defend the Empire! We are focusing on end-game Cata raids/ content and Level 85s. For raiding, we are currently taking all classes, and roles, however we are in most need of good healers.
